COVID-19: What is it and How can we rise from it?
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has recently been labeled as pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). Day by day, the number of confirmed cases increases by 0.8% to 1.5%. As of March 15, 2020, there are already 169,531 confirmed cases and 6,515 deaths worldwide. These statistics caused a global crisis as countries affected are experiencing economic recession, medical equipment shortage, racially aggravated assaults, and spread of false information about the disease.

What do we really need to know and how can we take care of ourselves and our family amidst this outbreak?

Let us start with facts that the World Health Organization has stated about COVID-19.

After knowing the necessary information about COVID-19, the next thing that everyone should do is observe the safety precautions at all times. Be informed of your city’s information and daily updates about the disease, especially now that Luzon and other municipalities and cities are under a community quarantine.

At difficult times like this, it is better to stay at home and protect our loved ones. If you can, bring your work to your home since commuting will be risky as the virus can easily spread. Our country has a Telecommuting Act wherein employees from private sectors will be offered to work from home on a voluntary basis. But, unfortunately, there are some who can’t afford to take their jobs to their home as they are daily wage earners. Some were asked to stay at home and not report to work, hence, no pay. And for some, their livelihood is at stake.
As lockdown problems continue to pile up, help and donations are starting to appear. Our company can also help by offering a job wherein you can just stay at home.
